Learning Outcomes

I believe my deepest readings come from our reading assignments that we receive for each individual essay or article. I was given the same reading assignments in prior English classes to further advance my reading and this is what I became accustomed to. The reading assignments that are given allow me to go deep into the reading and truly read between the lines. The question’s give me a basis of where I should be, but also allow me to do my own thing and think critically and analytically to help benefit myself in the long run. (For future essays) I usually struggle with creating my own questions or assumptions without that overall simple guidance since it would typically mean that I would just summarize what I read instead of being forced to look deeper and with actual thought. I enjoy investing my time in those reading assignments since it gets me going almost, and gets ideas flowing that I typically wouldn’t expect or think without the use of reading and analysising between the lines. I don’t believe I need to improve in this specific area given we receive a reading guide for each individual reading assignment which allows me to go into my own personal element and thoroughly think and write. If I could try to help myself though, an improvement would be creating questions (Broad or discussion driven) that could help myself and my classmates to analyze specific parts of a text.
