Learning Outcomes
Typically, I would have no advice for neither myself nor others since I feel comfortable with my first piece of writing usually. (Kind of negative) This isn’t a knock to myself nor am I saying that all my classmates are professional writers, just I had a hard time finding negatives within other people’s papers or opinions. I have tried to advance myself in this aspect and I think that seeing the first overall reviews, whether they were from Professor Emerson, my classmates, or even just myself now recognizing mistakes that I had made even during the writing process has helped me to change my perspective. Since learning the overall basics of the structure and development of a paragraph, I have been able to identify and help others, but also myself to correct specific errors. Also, people commenting on my own paper showing where I could improve showed me that I noticed similar mistakes in others papers that I had been reviewing. People’s perspectives have kind of changed where I was just simply reading the argument to read it as now I go into depth the see if the true arguments and opinions are fully backed through structure, evidence, and analysis.
